Pennsylvania State Police to Host 26th Annual North American Police Equestrian Championships

The Pennsylvania State Police is hosting the 26th Annual North American Police Equestrian Championships at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg on Monday and Tuesday, September 28th and 29th, 2009.  This is a unique police competition that will be attended by numerous Mounted Officers from all over the United States and Canada, and is coming to the Harrisburg area for the first time.   This is a free event and it is open to the public. 

On Monday, September 28th at 8:00 AM there will be a Uniform and Inspection Class to be judged by the PSP Ceremonial Unit.  This class will be followed by a full day of Equitation and Horsemanship testing to take place in the large arena.  On Tuesday, September 29th at 8:00 AM will be the Obstacle Course event.  This year’s Obstacle Course will be a “Tour through Pennsylvania,” with each obstacle representing something that Pennsylvania has to offer.
