Housing Questions
- My landlord/condo board won't give me a disability parking space. Can I file?
Yes, you may file a complaint. In order to win, you must have a disability which is related to your need for the handicapped space. This will be decided on a case by case basis.

- A resort offered me a free weekend, but then they said I have to be under 55.
I'm 63. Is that allowed? If the free weekend is part of a program to sell real property at the resort, you may file a complaint under the housing provisions of the PHRAct. The Commission will then decide if your specific situation is unlawful.

- The person next door is harassing me because of my race. What can I do?
If you believe this harassment seriously interferes with your right to enjoying your housing, you may file a complaint against the harasser under the housing provisions of the PHRAct. If you have a landlord, you should first report the harassment to him or her. If your landlord does not make good faith efforts to stop the harassment, you may also file a complaint against the landlord. The Commission will then decide if your specific case is unlawful.
