Homeland defense begins with you! There is approximately 1 police officer for every 380 U.S. citizens. Police alone cannot protect us. They need your help! We, as American’s, must do our part to prevent terrorism and we can do that by recognizing and reporting activity we think may be leading to a terrorist (criminal) act.

Ever since September 11, 2001, the United States government has emphasized homeland defense, establishing an Office of Homeland Security and providing training programs for law enforcement officers and emergency personnel. Pennsylvania, through its Office of Homeland Security provides information on anti terrorism training and counter terrorism efforts. As the threat of terrorism continues to grow, homeland defence becomes ever so important.

As Americans, we have a duty to our country – our homeland. That is why we designed this web site - as an online training for Pennsylvania’s citizens to provide education about terrorism awareness, to educate the public on what terrorism is, how it impacts our lives, and what we as individuals can do to prevent it. Homeland defense is about prevention and that will take involvement. YOUR involvement!
