Pennsylvania's Annual Report to the Secretary
Each state that receives an allotment under Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Section 127 (youth activities) or Section 132 (Adult and Dislocated Worker activities) must prepare and submit an Annual Report of performance progress to the Secretary of Labor in accordance with WIA Sections 136 and 185. The Annual Report includes (1) a tables section of required performance results and (2) a narrative report.
The narrative report comprises discussion regarding the state's performance for the program year, including analysis of the costs of a state's workforce investment activities; the status of the state's evaluation studies under WIA Section 136(e), if any were conducted; and, effective with the PY 2008 Annual Report, a description of how USDOL-approval waivers of WIA provisions have been used, and how waivers have influenced performance outcomes. The Annual Report may include optional narrative content as well, such as the state's workforce initiatives and accomplishments.
