Resident Training Program

The State Fire Academy Resident Program is made up of identified Resident Curriculum courses and, on occasion, specially selected courses from the Local Level Fire Training Curriculum and the Pennsylvania Fire Service Certification Program. These courses provide intermediate, advanced, and/or specialized training in fire fighting, rescue, command, and other emergency services skills. In addition, the Academy takes full advantage of course opportunities offered by the National Fire Academy, equipment manufacturers, other Federal and State agencies, private industry, and others as those opportunities are made available.
