Overheard by a teacher at Grace B. Luhrs Elementary, a new high performance green school in Shippensburg.

High performance green schools:

  • Enhance students' ability to learn by providing an environment with lots of natural light, high indoor air quality, and good acoustics.
  • Incorporate environmental lessons throughout their curriculum and use the building as a tool for illustrating how man-made environments interact with natural systems.
