From the North: (Harmarville)

From the South: (Bridgeville)

Take 279-North through the Fort Pitt Tunnels.
Once you exit the tunnels, get in the far left lane, and take the exit for “North Shore.”
Once you take the exit, get into the far right lane.
Take the “28 North” exit.
Take Route 28 to the “Highland Park Bridge” exit.
Get in the left lane on the bridge. (Route 8 South - Blue Belt).
Once completing the loop, stay in Right lane through the 1st traffic light.
You are now on Washington Boulevard. (Route 8 South – Blue Belt)
Make a left at the 1st traffic light on to Highland Drive.
Continue on Highland Drive by bearing left at the “Y” intersection.
The entrance to Southwestern Veterans’ Center is the 1st road on the right.

From the East: (Monroeville)

Take I-376 West towards downtown. Exit at Edgewood/Swissvale.
Make Right at exit on to South Braddock Ave.
Follow South Braddock until making a left on to Penn Ave (Route 8 – Blue Belt).
Make right off Penn Ave onto Washington Boulevard (remains Route 8 – Blue Belt).
Make a right at the 4th traffic light on to Highland Drive.
Continue on Highland Drive by bearing left at the “Y” intersection.
The entrance to Southwestern Veterans’ Center is the 1st road on the right.

From the West: (Routes 22, 30, 60 and I-79 South)

Take 279-North through the Fort Pitt Tunnels.
Once you exit the tunnels, get in the far left lane, and take the exit for “North Shore.”
Once you take the exit, get into the far right lane.
Take the “28 North” exit.
Take Route 28 to the “Highland Park Bridge” exit.
Get in the left lane on the bridge. (Route 8 South - Blue Belt).
Once completing the loop, stay in Right lane through the 1st traffic light.
You are now on Washington Boulevard. (Route 8 South – Blue Belt)
