SWVC Hall Of Fame Induction
Under Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes and amended by H.B. 30 in 1999, each of the State’s six Veterans Homes is to establish and dedicate a Hall of Fame to recognize and honor the military achievements of outstanding veterans who have completed honorable, active duty military service and who reside or have resided in the geographic region served by the veterans’ home.
The Southwestern Veterans Center has inducted over thirty Veterans since 2002 and will be inducting another four Veterans on January 18, 2008, at 11:00 AM. It is a memorable ceremony including ROTC Post Colors, guest speaker, remarks by the Adjutant General, Commandant, local high school band and presentations to the Honorees with a lunch following.
The honorable names are listed on a Hall of Fame plaque to recognize the honor that has been bestowed upon them and hung on the Hall of Fame wall.
