Rebecca Oyler Director, Office of Policy
Rebecca Oyler has served in Pennsylvania state government since 1999, when she began her public service career as a policy specialist at the Department of Community and Economic Development. She became Policy Director for the Department of State in 2000 and held this position until 2003. Until her reappointment as Director of Policy on March 12, 2011, she served as a project analyst for the Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors (SURE) project at the Department of State. Rebecca has worked fervently on SURE since its early inception in Pennsylvania prior to the passage of the Help America Vote Act of 2002, which required statewide voter registration systems nationwide.
Prior to moving to the Harrisburg area, Rebecca served in several capacities in the nonprofit sector, working at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research in Washington, DC and for the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia, PA.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts degree from Georgetown University in National Security Studies. She is a 2003 graduate of the Leadership Development Institute for Women in State Government.
Rebecca resides in Cumberland County with her husband Jason and children Joshua and Ainsley.
