• Rules and regulations - A hard copy is available from the Board office upon request.  Remember to include your mailing address with your request.
• Name Change - Will be made only when a copy of an official document (marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order) is submitted with a letter of request.  The fee for a duplicate license is $5.00 (check or money order) payable to the Commonwealth of PA. A corrected license will only be sent if requested and paid for.
• Address Change - Written requests should include the old address, new address and license number and/or Social Security number.  The Board must be notified within 10 days of any change in address. The fee for a duplicate license is $5.00 (check or money order) payable to the Commonwealth of PA. A corrected license will only be sent if requested and paid for.
• Request for Certification of Licensure - A written request (which must include name, current address, phone number, license number, Social Security number) must be forwarded to the Board office OR you may submit your request on the Board's form Request for Certification of Licensure. This form may be downloaded or requested by calling the Board office at 717-783-3397. 

Certification will ONLY be mailed directly to another State or jurisdiction's licensing authority or another regulatory authority, via the U.S. Postal Service. Mailing time is approximately 7-10 business days.

If expedited delivery of License Certification is desired, an overnight delivery, postage-paid envelope (obtained from the U.S. Postal service only) addressed to the agency where the completed certification should be mailed, MUST be included.

NO CERTIFICATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED TO A LICENSEE AT ANY TIME.

Auctioneer Licensing Examination 

The Pennsylvania Auctioneer Exam is now conducted on a regular basis throughout the year and can be scheduled, as needed.

Completed examination applications and examination fees are submitted directly to PCS.  The exam fee is $220.00 for first- time candidates and $170.00 for repeat candidates.  (Fees subject to change, please verify the correct fee amount with PCS, prior to submitting your application).  Please pay by certified check or money order made payable to Professional Credential Services/PA Auctioneer.

PLEASE NOTE: Pursuant to the Board's regulations at 49 Pa. Code §1.23(c) If an applicant fails the examination once, the applicant may take the next scheduled examination or the examination following the next scheduled examination. If an applicant fails the licensure examination twice, the Board, upon notice to the applicant, may require the applicant to complete additional training approved by the Board.

All licenses or registrations issued by the Board expire February 28 of every odd-numbered year. 

The Board office will mail out renewal reminders to your address of record, approximately 60 days prior to the expiration date of your license. You will need to follow the instructions provided in the reminder to renew your license on-line or to obtain a paper renewal application. The Postal Service does not forward licenses.
