** For your convenience you may report an address change or request a duplicate license on-line, or you may download the Request for Changes to an Individual License to report a name change, address change or to request a duplicate license.

  • Rules and regulations - A hard copy is available from the Board office upon request.  Remember to include your mailing address with your request.
  • Landscape Architect Registration Law - A hard copy is available from the Board office upon request. Remember to include your mailing address with your request. 
  • Name Change - Will be made only when a copy of an official document (marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order) is submitted with a letter of request.  The fee for a duplicate license is $5.00 (check or money order) payable to the Commonwealth of PA.
  • Address Change - Written requests should include the old address, new address and license number and Social Security number.  The Board must be notified within 10 days of any change in address. E-mail requests are acceptable. (ST-LANDSCAPE@pa.gov
  • Request for Certification of Licensure/Examination Scores - A written request specifying which service(s) you are requesting and the appropriate fee(s) must be forwarded to the Board office OR you may submit your request on the Board's Request for Certification of Licensure form. This form may be requested by calling the Board office at 717-772-8528. A written request must include name, current address, telephone number, Social Security number, and license number.

Certification will ONLY be mailed directly to another State or jurisdiction's licensing authority or another regulatory authority, via the U.S. Postal Service. Mailing time is approximately 7-10 business days.

If expedited delivery of License Certification and/or Certification of Examination Scores is desired, an overnight delivery, postage-paid envelope (obtained from the U.S. Postal service only) addressed to the agency where the completed certification should be mailed, MUST be included with your request.

NO CERTIFICATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED TO A LICENSEE AT ANY TIME.

The fees for each certification request is as follows:

Request for Certification of Licensure - $15.00

Request for Certification of Exam Scores - $25.00

Make fees payable to the "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania." NOTE: A $20.00 processing fee will be assessed for any payment returned by your bank, regardless of the reason for nonpayment.

Board Examination Information:

Beginning with the December 2012 examination administration, all examination candidates must obtain pre-approval from the Board prior to registering for Sections 1-4 of the LARE with CLARB.  This applies to first time candidates and candidates who previously applied directly to CLARB for any section(s) of the LARE.  The Board's Application for Licensure by Examination can be found by clicking the following link:  Application for Licensure by Examination

Renewal Information:
 
 
In its e-newsletter of May 2010 and July 2010, the State Board of Landscape Architects attempted to update licensees on the upcoming increase of continuing education from 10 to 24 hours during the 2011-2013 biennial renewal period.  REGRETTABLY THAT INFORMATION HAS CHANGED AND WILL NOT BE EFFECTIVE DURING THE 2011-2013 BIENNIAL RENEWAL PERIOD.  THE CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT WILL REMAIN AT 10 HOURS DURING THE 2011-2013 BIENNIAL RENEWAL PERIOD WHICH BEGAN JUNE 1, 2011 THROUGH MAY 31, 2013.
 
ALL LICENSEES SHALL BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN 24 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION BEGINNING JUNE 1, 2013 THROUGH MAY 31, 2015, IN ORDER TO RENEW THEIR LICENSE TO PRACTICE AS A LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT FOR THE 2015-2017 BIENNIAL RENEWAL PERIOD AND THEREAFTER.
 
Biennial license renewal fee:  $194.00.
 
The Board office will mail out renewal reminders to your address of record, approximately 60 days prior to the expiration date of your license. You will need to follow the instructions provided in the reminder to renew your license on-line or to obtain a paper renewal application.  
 
The Postal Service does not forward licenses.
