Board Services

Rules and regulations - A hard copy is available from the Board office upon request. Remember to include your mailing address with your request.

Name change - Will be made only when a copy of an official document (marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order) is submitted with a letter of request.  The fee for a duplicate license is $5.00 (check or money order) payable to the Commonwealth of PA.

Address change - Written requests should include the old address, new address and license number and social security number.  The Board must be notified within 10 days of any change in address.

Verification of License to Another State - Submit written request or form along with a $15.00 personal check or money order payable to "Commonwealth of PA".  Make sure you provide your name, Pennsylvania license number and where the verification should be sent to.

Board Examination Information:

American Podiatric Medical Licensing Examination Part III

The National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners (NBPME) and Prometric will determine if a candidate is eligible to sit for the examination.  When you register with Prometric indicating you wish to be licensed in Pennsylvania, your examination results will be forwarded to the PA Board office.  For Part III examination information contact:  American Podiatric Medical Licensing Examination at

To avoid a delay in the issuance of a Pennsylvania license it is important that you have a completed Application for a License to Practice Podiatry By Examination on file in the Board office.

Auxiliary Personnel Performing Radiological Procedures

Auxiliary personnel performing radiological procedures is now a computer based examination. For examination application contact:  Professional Credential Services, Inc. (PCS), 150 4th Avenue North, Suite 800, Nashville, TN  37219-2417.  Completed applications are submitted directly to Professional Credential Services, Inc. (PCS).

License Renewal Cycle and Fees:  

Licenses expire December 31 of every even-numbered year.  The board mails renewal notices 2 to 3 months prior to the license expiration date.  Notices are mailed to the most recent address the licensee has reported to the Board.  The Postal Service does not forward licenses.

The renewal fee for the current biennial cycle is $395.00.  Proof of completing 50 credit hours of continuing education in programs approved by the  Pennsylvania Board of Podiatry is required for renewal.  In addition to a currently registered license, a licensee may not continue to practice unless the licensee is in compliance with the Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error Act.
