Cognitive Skills Enhancement Program (CSEP)

The Cognitive Skills Enhancement Program (CSEP) is an intensive course designed to assist students with cognitive disabilities through group and cognitive enhancement therapy, assistive technology screening and training, group counseling, and identification of and practice using compensatory strategies.

CSEP emphasizes behavioral accountability, the development of social awareness skills and improving self-esteem. With CSEP staff guidance, students identify cognitive problems and independently implement strategies that will help compensate for their disabilities.

Participants are individuals who have difficulty understanding the impact of their cognitive disability, have little or no vocational experiences or who may have difficulty with organization, planning or problem solving. These students typically are diagnosed with learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, ADHD and other cognitive disorders.
