Vocational Evaluation

The Vocational Evaluation program is an individually tailored process that assesses a students vocational assets, helps them to identify areas of need, and also assists the customer in selecting those jobs that would present the best opportunity for success.

Participants find the evaluation process to be an informative and enjoyable experience. Through the use of vocational tests, work experiences, career research opportunities, and vocational counseling, students learn about their aptitude and interest for various occupations, how previously acquired skills may be utilized on a new job, their ability to learn and profit from various types of vocational instruction and the types of jobs that may provide them with the best chance for success.

Since no two students' needs are exactly the same, the wide range of services offered at HGAC are available to custom-tailor an evaluation program to answer specific questions posed by the student and the referring agency or company. Additional services such as career exploration, psychological services, occupational therapy, speech and hearing, assistive technology, medical services, and education may all be a part of the assessment process.

Staff also includes 3 psychological services associates who provide individual and group therapy as well as testing.

Programming is accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Staff includes licensed professional counselors and certified vocational evaluators. For further information, contact:
