Access to ITEEA, STEM CTL - EbD Materials

Access to International Technology and Engineering Educators Association’s (ITEEA) STEM Center for Teaching and Learning – Engineering byDesign (EbD) Materials

Pennsylvania became a member state of the International Technology & Engineering Educators Association’s (ITEEA, www.iteea.org) STEM Center for Teaching and Learning (http://www.iteea.org/EbD/ebd.htm) Consortium through partnership with California University of Pennsylvania, Millersville University, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Technology & Engineering Education Association of Pennsylvania (TEEAP) and the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC) in 2007.  This has afforded schools across Pennsylvania free access to a K-12 National Standards-Based solution for delivering a STEM focused Technological Literacy curricula developed by the consortium known as Engineering byDesign™.  Professional Development on the materials was once offered through the Governor’s Institute for Technology Education (GITE) over the summer but was discontinued in 2009 due to the financial crises the state has encountered.  We are currently working with various Intermediate Units, California University of Pennsylvania, Millersville University and the STEM Center for Teaching and Learning, they are an approved ACT 48 provider, to offer Professional Development opportunities on the EbD materials in Pennsylvania.

If you are interested in obtaining access to the EbD materials please review the Memorandum of Understanding -- Licensing & Distribution Agreement below and click the “Accept” button.   There is no cost involved to districts the mentioned membership fee has been covered by the above mentioned partnerships.  You will then be linked to a web form that you will need to fill out and save.  Once this has been done the form with the required information will be sent to Bill Bertrand.  He then will send you the URL to the ITEEA Pennsylvania page which will allow you to access the EbD materials.  If you have questions or need additional information on possible Professional Development opportunities or other related issues please contact Bill Bertrand at wbertrand@pa.gov.
