Pennsylvania has become a member state of the International Technology Education Association’s (ITEA), www.iteaconnect.org, Center to Advance the Teaching of Technology & Science (CATTS), http://www.iteaconnect.org/EbD/CATTS/catts.htm, Consortium through partnership with California University of Pennsylvania, Millersville University, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Technology Education Association of Pennsylvania (TEAP) and the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC). Schools across Pennsylvania will have free access to products developed by CATTS known as Engineering byDesign™. Training on the products will be offered through the Governor’s Institute for Technology Education (GITE), offered over the summer usually in July (information on Governor's Institutes can be found at www.papde.ws), and workshops developed and offered through California University of Pennsylvania, http://www.cup.edu/eberly/aet/index.jsp, and Millersville University, http://muweb.millersville.edu/~itec/. We will also have opportunities for schools to be involved in the piloting of products starting in the 2007 school year.
If you are interested in obtaining access to the ITEA-CATTS EbD Products please review the Memorandum of Understanding -- Licensing & Distribution Agreement below. Once you accept the terms of the Agreement you will be linked to a form that you will need to fill out. Once this has been done the form with the required information will be sent to Bill Bertrand, and he will send you the URL to the ITEA Pennsylvania page which will allow you to access the ITEA-CATTS EbD Products.
