Key Programmatic Functions

  • Function in a consultative role to managers/supervisors, HR representatives and employees regarding benefit-related policies
  • Provide timely, comprehensive employee orientations
  • Process all medical and supplemental benefits and transmit to PEBTF
  • Manage the following:
    • Unemployment Compensation
    • Worker's Compensation
    • Family Care Account Program (FCAP)
    • Savings Bond Activity
    • Deferred Compensation
  • Manage all related activity for Benefit and FCAP Open Enrollment periods
  • Liaison between employees, PEBTF and the medical plan provider; analyze and resolve discrepancies
  • Liaison between employees and WC provider regarding necessary time off work, medical certifications and follow-up to return employee to work
    • Analyze WC cases to determine if a compromise & release (settlement) is feasible and cost effective
  • Process all retirement and resignation actions
  • Develop and conduct training on benefits and workers' compensation policies
