UC Management System
Welcome to the home page for the Unemployment Compensation Management System (UCMS) Project. This Web site will provide you with information on the objectives, benefits and vision of the new UC system. Please check this Web site frequently, as it is regularly updated with new information.
On May 27, 2008, the first release of UCMS was officially launched. Release 1 lays the foundation for the entire system. This is a first step to reach our vision to better serve UC customers by transforming business processes and replacing all UC legacy applications with an integrated UC system.
The Department of Labor & Industry's Unemployment Compensation Management System (UCMS), when completed, will replace the department's more than 40-year-old UC computer systems and significantly improve the quality of services we provide to our UC customers.
Additional improvements include:
-
Greater real-time access to customer account data, as well as expanded and improved online services, in a secure environment.
-
Enhanced online access to eligibility determinations, and increased self-help functionality. Claimants will be able to see how their benefit amounts were calculated, and employers will be able to see how their tax rates were calculated. Claimants and employers will also be able to update claim and tax account information online.
-
Customer identity controls will be strengthened, to help guard against identity theft and to prevent fraud.
-
Improved communication among different UC sections (tax, benefits and appeals) will provide faster and more consistent service to claimants and employers.
Check back for UCMS project updates, including more detailed information about how and when these improvements will roll out, and how they will help claimants and employers.
