Q: Why should I enroll in the VA?
A: So the VA can track any illness that might arise that no one is aware of at the moment.
Q: How do I enroll?
A: Fill out VA Form 10-10EZ - Application for Health Benefits here and submit the form to your local VA office.
Q: I may have a disability. How do I initiate a claim?
A: You may fill out the forms online by going to VONAPP, the Veterans Online Application Website at http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp or contact your local Veteran Service Officer (VSO) who is trained to complete the entire package. Q: What is a Veteran Service Officer (VSO) and how can they help me?
A: The VSO is a trained associate that knows how the VA works and how the paperwork should be submitted. There are VSOs available in a variety of veterans serivce organizations. You can find out more about VSO support by clicking here.
Q: I'm a National Guard Member and I'm still drilling. Why can't I get both Drill Pay and Compensation Pay for the same day?
A: Federal law states that you may only recieve Federal benefits from one agency at a time. (10 U.S.C. 12316 and 38 U.S.C. 5304(c))
