This
is professional engineering work in the design, construction,
rehabilitation or maintenance of highway bridges and related structures.
You will engage in design activities, develop plans, and review plans
prepared by consultant engineers; and prepare cost estimates, job and
material specifications and detailed working drawings. You will also
monitor construction activities, resolve problems associated with proposed
location and design changes, and may be involved in an ongoing statewide
bridge inspection and maintenance program. Senior Civil Engineer
Supervisors work on projects within the constraints imposed by
departmental engineering standards, available funding, and deadlines.
Normally engineers at this level have overall project accountability. You
will also plan and assign work to subordinates, monitor and review their
work, and provide guidance and assistance when required. |
