The Pennsylvania Department of Health has four openings for Registry Specialist. All vacancies are located in Dauphin County.


Type of Work
Registry Specialist You will plan, organize and develop standardized health record reporting procedures for hospitals and other healthcare facilities throughout Pennsylvania. Duties include evaluating and monitoring facilities for adherence to reporting requirements; providing technical support to healthcare personnel related to the design and maintenance of electronic data reporting, including problem resolution and proper coding; performing quality assurance activities to assure the completeness, accuracy, validity and timeliness of data in the public health information system; and preparing summary reports with findings and recommendations concerning each facility's reporting system(s). Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior.
