The
Pennsylvania Department of Corrections currently has three openings for
Medical Records Supervisor. There is one vacancy at each of the
institutions listed below. |

Type
of Work
Medical
Records Supervisors organize and maintain medical records in accordance
with accreditation standards; code diagnoses and treatment services;
review medical records for completeness and accuracy; calculate statistics
concerning the utilization of facility beds; and supervise Medical Records
Assistants.
Necessary Special Requirement
Possession of a
valid Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certificate or a
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certificate issued by
the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), or
eligibility for certification including completion of an AHIMA approved
RHIT or RHIA Health Information Management education program.
Post Employment Requirement
If you
meet the Necessary Special Requirement based on the eligibility option for
the RHIT or RHIA certification, you must obtain one of these
certifications within 12 months of employment. |
