Employment Opportunities
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources currently has eight vacancies for Equipment Operator B. Two are in the Bureau of State Parks; six are in the Bureau of Forestry. The vacancies exist in the following counties: Bucks, Columbia, Elk, Fayette, Franklin, Huntingdon, Juniata and Lycoming.

Please note that when designating the type of employment sought on the application, it is imperative that applicants indicate seasonal availability. These positions generally work an 8 month season from March through November.

Most positions require that candidates have a commercial driver's license (CDL A or B) with no restrictions.


Type of Work
You will operate and maintain trucks, buses and construction equipment, and perform general laboring duties. Equipment Operators A operate and maintain single-chassis trucks weighing between 10,001 and 32,000 pounds. You will also operate and maintain light/medium construction equipment such as rollers, back-hoes and front-loaders. Equipment Operators B operate and maintain single-chassis trucks and tractor-trailers with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more, and heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers and graders.

Starting Salary
