| Employment Opportunities The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources currently has 58 vacancies for Semi-Skilled Laborer in the Bureau of State Parks and the Bureau of Forestry in the following counties: Bedford, Berks, Bradford, Bucks, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Carbon, Centre, Clinton, Crawford, Cumberland, Elk, Fayette, Forest, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Lancaster, Lebanon, Northumberland, Perry, Potter, Somerset, Sullivan, Union, Westmoreland, and York. Please note that when designating the type of employment sought on the application, it is imperative that applicants indicate seasonal availability. These positions generally work an 8 ½ month season from March through November. Certain position may require a Class C Driver’s License or equivalent. | |||
| Type of Work You will cut grass and weeds; cut and stack wood; pick up trash; load or unload rock, sand, or lumber; dig holes; plant trees; help others with painting, carpentry, masonry, or other construction work; and use hand or power tools and equipment. You must be able to lift and move heavy objects and work on rough terrain in all kinds of weather. You may have to drive a car, light truck or small tractor. Most hires are made for seasonal positions. | |||
