| Type of Work You will manage and direct the activities of analysts, engineers, and clerical support staff, and provide expert advice and counsel to management. You will apply and analyze energy policy and rate making issues including the review and evaluation of electric distribution and gas distribution tariffs, provider of last resort issues and updates, letters of notification and applications for transmission line siting and energy industry restructuring issues. You will oversee rate of return rate making, including plant valuation, depreciation, revenue and expense normalization, performance based rate making, rate structure and tariff related issues, electric/natural gas fitness reviews, affiliated interest relationships and transactions, and other related matters. You will also direct the preparation and delivery of complex technical reports and recommendations in response to filings, initiatives, inquiries, and requests from other bureaus and offices, the Legislature and other Federal and State agencies; plan and implement effective staff training programs within an approved budget; and balance workflow with quality and timeliness. | |||
