PACE/PACENET CARD CHANGES

As a result of privacy concerns, the program has decided to remove the PACE/PACENET cardholder’s social security number from the PACE/PACENET card.

Effective January 1, 2006, cardholder identification numbers will no longer appear on newly issued PACE or PACENET cards.

When presented with a PACE or PACENET card, providers should ask the cardholder or caregiver for the PACE/PACENET number, which is usually the individual’s Social Security number.

Providers may contact PACE Provider Services for assistance if any question arises concerning the accuracy of this number.
