PACE
Provider Bulletin
Remittance Advice
Enhancement
PACE, SPBP, CRDP and all programs under the auspices of the
Department of Aging are transitioning to all electronic remittance
advices. When complete, this will eliminate the current paper R/A’s.
Some of the benefits of electronic R/A’s are:
·
confidential
patient information is more secure since it is available only by accessing
password protected files
·
remittance
advice information can be retrieved anywhere a provider has access to a computer
·
remittance
advices are available earlier since electronic R/A’s do not depend on mail
delivery
·
providers
can retain remittance advice information indefinitely by downloading to their
computer.
This transition will be made available at no cost to all
providers currently receiving paper.
During the next few months, providers currently receiving
paper R/A’s will be contacted by First Health Services Corporation (FHSC) Web
Support representatives with
instructions on how to register on-line to obtain their remittance advices
using WEB R/A.
This registration will be the first step in the transition
to receiving your R/A electronically.
