PACE Claim Submissions

The Pennsylvania Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly Program (PACE) has received bulletins forwarded by Pennsylvania pharmacy providers. These bulletins, written by a company named SeniorScript, state that “effective July 01, 2009 SeniorScript will be the pharmacy benefit manager for PACE programs” and will utilize a company identified as CatalystRX as their claims’ processor.

Unfortunately, SeniorScript does not define their PACE acronym. As a result, there is some confusion by Pennsylvania pharmacies who believe that SeniorScript is now the pharmacy benefit manager for the Pennsylvania Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly Program (PACE).

This assumption is incorrect. Pennsylvania PACE continues to be administered by First Health, not CatalystRX.

There have been no changes in claims’ submission requirement, data fields, BIN or Processor Control numbers. Pharmacy providers should make no changes to their claim submission procedures to the Pennsylvania PACE program.
