Type
of Work
You
will work in one of the areas of transportation engineering, e.g., traffic
control, materials and testing, construction and maintenance, and design.
Duties may include recommending traffic signaling, speed limits or passing
zones; investigating and analyzing unstable foundations or solid-rock
slope failures; inspecting materials and workmanship at project sites for
compliance with contract requirements and departmental standards;
performing highway design studies; or preparing and/or reviewing
preliminary designs. Typically, you will work on component parts of
projects for which controlling parameters have been set, and perform this
work under limited technical supervision. |
