Employment Opportunities
Currently the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has two vacancies, one at each of the wastewater/sewage plants in the state parks located in Blair and Butler counties.

Type of Work
You will participate in classroom and on-the-job training programs designed to develop competencies and skill in the operation of wastewater (sewage) treatment plants. Trainees work under the direction of a licensed operator and assist with maintenance, inspection and general operation of the treatment plant. These positions are located at State Parks throughout the Commonwealth.

Successful completion of the training program requires passing the certification exam within the probationary period for the class and type of treatment system used at your facility. If you obtain the appropriate license, you will be promoted to Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator with an increase in salary.

Starting Salary

$27,012/ annually
