American Sweet Crabapple
Malus coronaria
DESCRIPTION:
A native Pennsylvania crabapple that grows 15 to 25 feet. Common to old fields, pastures, woodland edges and woodland openings, it can form dense thickets. Full sun to partial shade. Fruits are greenish yellow and relished by deer, turkey and ruffed grouse in the fall.
