Northern Red Oak
Quercus rubra
DESCRIPTION:
A fast growing native oak that can reach 70 to 100 feet. Does well in moist soils and prefers full sun or openings in forest canopy. A valuable timber tree that produces acorns after about 25 years, with heavy production starting after 40 years.

One-year-old seedlings, 6 to 20 inches.
