| Description |
Our family literacy program provides eligible families with integrated and comprehensive educational support services, including adult education, parenting education, and opportunities for parents and their children to engage in language and literacy learning activities. Early childhood education is promoted through referral to local early childhood education providers. Family literacy helps parents develop the skills they need to be their children’s first and most important teachers. Adult students are encouraged to set goals related to employment, continuing education, and family. Teachers and counselors assist students in achieving these goals through advocacy and referrals to appropriate agencies. Distance learning also is available. |
