| Description |
Intermediate Unit 1 provides Adult Basic Education classes for any Pennsylvania resident 17 years or older. We offer transitioning to postsecondary education or work classes. Literacy classes offer beginning reading and math or individualized tutoring for development of basic skills. Adult Basic Education classes offer improvement of basic reading, English, math, and work/postsecondary school-based skills for job training or in preparation for transitioning to the GED in order to get a job or attend a postsecondary program. General Educational Development classes offer review and building of skills in real-life English, reading, social science, science, and math to prepare for the GED Tests. Development of self-management and job-readiness skills prepares for transitioning after the GED Tests. |
