NATURE OF WORK
You will work out of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board regional offices or Harrisburg headquarters providing development, implementation, evaluation, training, and technical assistance on programs designed to promote responsible beverage management and reduce high-risk behavior related to alcohol consumption.
You will develop, implement, and evaluate information resources, training, surveys, assessment tools, prevention programs, and community coalitions; and develop, implement, manage, and evaluate grant programs designed to assist community and other statewide organizations implement prevention and education programs.
Work involves presentations at conferences, seminars and meetings to provide information, technical assistance and further involve others in the prevention and education efforts. You will also provide training and assistance for liquor licensee managers/owners, oversee server/seller trainers, and manage the Responsible Alcohol Management Program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

You must be willing to travel. Travel expenses will be paid.

Conditions of Employment
You must be willing to work unpredictable hours which vary by season, availability of meeting places and access to target groups and work evenings and weekends. You must be willing to travel throughout the Commonwealth (overnight stays are sometimes required).
Minimum Requirements
One year of professional experience in the development and implementation of a general alcohol education and training program; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.

TESTING
The test will be administered on a computer. Information about computerized testing is available online at www.scsc.state.pa.us OR in paper form at any State Civil Service Commission Office.
You will have a maximum of 2 hours to complete the test which will cover the following subject areas:

The test will be administered in the Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh State Civil Service Commission offices, Monday through Friday.
The test also will be held approximately 10 days a month at additional test centers located in Allentown, Erie, Johnstown, Lock Haven, and Scranton. If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your test. You must submit a new application to be retested.
TEST RESULTS
Employment and promotion lists will be established. You will be notified in writing of your test results. This list will replace any previous list.
This test and scoring procedure are different from previous tests for this job title. If you have taken the test before, you may receive a different score on this test.
