NATURE OF WORK

 

You will investigate alleged or suspected violations of Pennsylvania securities laws; investigate fraud and other schemes to cheat the public; determine the scope and course of an investigation; contact and interview witnesses; review and analyze financial, private and public records; trace financial transactions and reconstruct accounts or records; take depositions; and prepare reports that include investigative activities, conclusions and recommendations.

You must be willing to travel.  Travel expenses will be paid.

 

You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Two years of experience in white-collar financial or criminal investigations; and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a closely related field.  Equivalent combinations of experience and training are acceptable.

 

Clarification of Requirements

 

You may substitute other related education for the required experience or appropriate experience for the required education.  Bachelor’s degrees in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Police Science and Criminology may also be acceptable.  Unrelated experience or education will not be accepted.

If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your "Notice of Examination Results."  A new application and application supplement are required for a retest.
