NATURE OF WORK
You will operate lithographic sheet-fed presses with 18” x 24” multi-color capacity to reproduce a variety of forms, letters, reports, booklets, pamphlets, brochures and maps. You will also operate and maintain presses as well as make minor adjustments, repairs and setting changes to equipment. Work may also involve the preparation of copy mock-up, photographing copy, developing negatives and making printing plates.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Minimum Requirements:
One year of experience as a Lithographic Press Operator 1; OR two years of experience in the skilled operation of lithographic sheet-fed presses of 18” x 24” capacity or lithographic web presses of 14” width capacity; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Clarification of Requirements:
Qualifying experience must be at the full journey operator level. Work at the journey level is characterized by independent preparation, operation and maintenance of lithographic press equipment.

The test will be held in the Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Civil Service Commission Offices, Monday through Friday.
The test will also be held approximately 10 days a month at additional test centers located in Allentown, Erie, Johnstown, Lock Haven, and Scranton. If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your test. A new application is required for a retest.
If your name is on an eligible list for these jobs and you take this test, your most recent examination result will be the only one counted.
TEST RESULTS
Employment and promotion lists will be established. You will be notified in writing of your test results.
