NATURE OF WORK

 

You will conduct veterinary laboratory examinations for the detection and diagnosis of diseases of domestic/wild animals, including ante-mortem and/or post-mortem examinations.  Work includes developing and performing new laboratory diagnostic tests and procedures, training laboratory technicians and assistants, and maintaining the integrity of diagnostic samples and overall quality assurance program.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

You must be of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Pennsylvania residency is currently waived for this job title.

 

Minimum Requirements

One year of experience as a veterinarian in the research and/or diagnosis of animal or bird diseases; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.

 

Clarification of Requirements

You may substitute related education for the required experience.  Unrelated experience or education will not be accepted.

6 months from the date of your "Notice of Examination Results."  A new application is required for a retest.

 

If your name is on an eligible list for this job title and you take this test, your most recent examination result will be the only one counted.
