NATURE OF WORK

 

You will assist insurance actuaries in the analysis and evaluation of insurance rates, rating procedures and plans, loss revenue analysis, and non-forfeiture values to determine whether they conform with statutory requirements.  You will research and compile insurance and financial information and assist with the development of actuarial software for computer programs supporting the rate or loss reserving function.

Minimum Requirements

 

One year as an Actuarial Associate 1; OR a bachelorís degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics, 2 years of actuarial experience and completion of 2 parts of the Society of Actuaries Examination or Casualty Actuarial Society Examination; OR a bachelorís degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics, and completion of 3 parts of the Society of Actuaries Examination or Casualty Actuarial Society Examination; OR a masterís degree in Actuarial Science or related field with an emphasis in Actuarial Science.

If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your application.  A new application and application supplement are required for a retest.
