As it embarks upon its second hundred years of service to the Commonwealth, the men and women of the Pennsylvania Capitol Police continue to demonstrate that they are a highly trained and professional law enforcement agency that utilizes current technology to accomplish its mission.
In addition to the State Capitol Complex in Harrisburg and other designated locations in Dauphin County, the Pennsylvania Capitol Police provides the full range of police services to state officials, state employees and the general public at designated locations in Philadelphia and Scranton.

Eligibility Requirements

Twenty one years of age, Pennsylvania resident, completion of a Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission approved Police Academy and possess a valid Pennsylvaina Driver's License

                         Hiring Process and Requirements

 Written examination, oral interview, background investigation, polygraph examination, physiological examination, medical evaluation, drug screen and agility test in accordance with MPOETC standards, 30th percentile. mpoetc@pa.gov
