Compliment Procedures

Any Compliment concerning Pennsylvania State Police personnel (enlisted or civilian) may be sent directly to the Pennsylvania State Police Station where the member/employee is assigned. Please mark all correspondence to the attention of the Station Commander.

Complaint Procedures

The Pennsylvania State Police Internal Affairs Division (IAD) will thoroughly evaluate all reports of personnel (enlisted or civilian) misconduct.  Anyone who files a complaint will be treated with respect.

Any one of the following procedures may be utilized:

Complaints can be filed at any PSP installation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, either in person, telephonically, or in writing.  Letters must be original (no copies) and contain an original signature.

Any complaint of misconduct, including sexual harassment and sexual misconduct, may be reported directly to the Internal Affairs Division. 

The Internal Affairs Division may be contacted by calling their Toll-Free Line at 866-426-9164 to speak with a representative during normal business hours, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  

During holidays and non-business hours, please leave a message including your name, address and phone number, and you will receive a return call the next business day.

You may also download, complete, and mail the Complaint Verification Form found below.  Please fill in blocks 1 through 5 and submit the original with an original signature.  Copies will not be accepted.  It is suggested a copy be made for your own records.
