The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) entry-level law enforcement examination for the position of Cadet will be administered by the Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission (SCSC) at its computer-based testing centers between January 6, 2014 and January 25, 2014. The PSP will not be administering a written examination for the position of Liquor Enforcement Officer Trainee (LEOT) in January 2014.
The application period associated with the Cadet examination will close at 12:01 a.m., December 16, 2013. Applications for the position of Cadet that are received after 12:01 a.m., December 16, 2013 will be held on file for future examinations. The application period associated with the LEOT examination will remain open until further notice.
On Friday, December 20, 2013, qualified applicants for the positions of PSP Cadet will be notified, via email, with instructions on how to register with SCSC to take the entry-level law enforcement examination. Others who attempt to register with SCSC who have not been pre-qualified by PSP will be denied.
Since qualified candidates will receive instructions by email, it is important that contact information is current. To update contact information before 12:01 a.m., December 16, 2013, candidates may log back into the application using their SSN and the confirmation number received upon application. Candidates will be unable to make changes to the application after the application period closes.
