Reduced Transit Rates for People with Disabilities

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation provides reduced rates on shared-ride and fixed route transportation services for qualifying persons with disabilities who are between the ages of 18-64.

Persons With Disabilities Discount Program

Shared-ride trips for people with disabilities are discounted up to 85% if the trip is not eligible under any other funding program. The passenger pays 15% of the fare. To qualify for the reduced fare, proof of disability must be provided to the local shared-ride provider.

Persons With Disabilities Half-Fare Program

People with disabilities can receive half-fare on fixed route transit service during non-peak periods. To qualify, a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Reduced Transit Fare Identification Card or a Medicare Card must be presented at the time of fare payment.
