Central Booking

The central booking project is a cooperative effort between the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, local law enforcement, sheriffs’ departments, county district attorneys, magisterial district justices, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, and county and local governments. The project integrates the technologies of LiveScan fingerprinting, automated fingerprint identification (AFIS), digital photography (CPIN), video conferencing, and computerized record management systems.
