Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification System (SAVIN)

In 2006, the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency awarded a grant to the Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Institute to implement the Statewide Automated Victim Information Notification system or SAVIN. SAVIN is an innovative, free, confidential and automated service that helps victims of crime track the status of an offender, housed in a COUNTY jail within the Commonwealth. PA SAVIN will allow Pennsylvania residents to receive real-time information about an offender's custody status, such as an inmate's release, transfer or escape.
