Human Resources Management Trainee Program

The Human Resource Management Trainee (HRMT) program was created to introduce qualified individuals to Pennsylvania's HR system. This 12-month program offers college graduates entry into a career that prepares them to be tomorrow's leaders in the state's HR management system. 

During the program, trainees participate in specialized training, specifically related to commonwealth human resources, rotational assignments, and other developmental activities and opportunities.  Trainees work on a variety of large and small projects that contribute to the specific goals of each agency.

Following successful completion of the program, trainees will be promoted to either a Human Resource Analyst 1 or an Equal Opportunity Specialist 1, and will be placed in a full-time, permanent position with an increase in salary.
