Pennsylvania Management Associate Program

The Pennsylvania Management Associate (PMA) program was created to aid the commonwealth in developing highly effective managers and innovative leaders throughout state government. This 18-month (12 month training, 6 month probationary), on-the-job management training program offers graduates a mid-to upper-level management position within the commonwealth.
During the program, associates participate in specialized training, rotational assignments, and other developmental activities and opportunities. Associates work on a variety of large and small projects that contribute to the specific goals of each agency. Graduates of the program are well-equipped to meet the challenges of public service, ensuring that Pennsylvania will have effective and innovative managers in the future.
Following successful completion of the program, associates will be placed in a full-time, permanent position with an increase in salary.
Candidates who have earned a master’s degree in any field of study are eligible to apply. The Civil Service exam opens January 25, 2012.
