What do I need to file?
If you're filing an application for benefits to open a new UC claim, which is also called
filing an initial claim, there are some things you'll want to have at hand to make the process go more smoothly. For example, your Social Security number, home address and mailing address, the name of your last employer and more. To help you gather this information, we've put together a
checklist for you to reference while you file.
By providing an email address when filing your claim, we will send you notification confirming receipt of your initial, bi-weekly or reopened claim application as well as weekly UC informational updates..
After filing an initial claim, you will receive information in the mail within 10-12 days after submitting your application.
