Home to historical and cultural venues, Pennsylvania is a world-class destination for travelers from all walks of life. From The Carnegie Museums in Pittsburgh to the battlefields of Gettysburg and the Barnes Foundation Museum in Philadelphia, the commonwealth’s rich history and diverse culture engages and captivates visitors of all ages.

As First Lady, Mrs. Corbett serves as Pennsylvania’s official tourism ambassador, or “First Tourist.” She travels the state to showcase the unique sites and attractions that make each region of the commonwealth extraordinary.

In March 2012, the First Lady accompanied the Governor on a trade mission to Germany and France. While there, she promoted Pennsylvania as an international destination to tour operators and international media. As the second largest industry in the commonwealth, tourism is an economic driver that employs more than 400,000 Pennsylvanians. Approximately 175 million people travel to and within the commonwealth each year for business and leisure. To learn more about tourism in Pennsylvania visit
