Every year the Governor’s Residence hosts over 150 events and meetings from state dinners with foreign dignitaries, to holiday open houses. Free tours, art showcases and special community events offer the public many opportunities to visit and learn about this historic home.

Second Sundays

Pennsylvania First Lady Susan Corbett invites the public to visit the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg for a new series of summer garden tours called “Second Sundays.” Each second Sunday from June through September, visitors are invited to explore the Governor’s Residence gardens from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Each event will highlight a specific theme and feature outdoor, family-friendly activities. Through a partnership with the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Dauphin County, volunteer master gardeners will offer expertise on horticultural topics and answer visitors’ questions.
