Public Health Preparedness > Preparing for Public Health Emergencies: A Planning Aid for Public Health and Healthcare Professionals

This document, Preparing for Public Health Emergencies: A Planning Aid for Public Health and Healthcare Professionals, was developed to help public health and healthcare planners identify the public health and medical infrastructure consequences of hazards.  This planning aid document will lead planners through identification of impacts which should be planned for prior to emergencies happening.  This document can also serve as a guide during and after a hazard to assist responders in prioritizing and identifying where gaps or impacts may exist.  The Preparing for Public Health Emergencies: A Planning Aid for Public Health and Healthcare Professional document is intended to be a reference tool that provides concise information, in an easy to read format, to kick start planning or response activities.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health used federal funds to contract with the Drexel University School of Public Health to complete the Preparing for Public Health Emergencies: A Planning Aid for Public Health and Healthcare Professionals.
